In October 2020, we notified cable modem customers that we were beginning a network system upgrade to the phone and internet services in their area. The upgrade will increase the bandwidth capacity and allows us to deliver faster internet plans in our cable modem towns.

Progress Update: Our third-party contractor worked until the end of December 2020. During that time, the contractors got work complete in three areas. There are four additional areas that must be complete.

We have experienced a delay in completing the project because of shipment delays to the electronic equipment needed to complete the upgrade. Once the electronic equipment shipment is received, our third-party contractor will be back on-site to complete the network upgrade.

What To Expect: As a reminder, the upgrade requires a lot of behind-the-scenes work from our maintenance crews and contractors. During the upgrade window, customers’ cable modems will be rebooted, resulting in service disruptions.  Depending on the type of work that needs to be done, the service disruptions may take place during the day, night, and possibly over the weekends.

Our goal is to notify customers before the maintenance crews arrive in your town. However, in some instances, crews may need to move to a different area without notice.

As soon as we are made aware of the crews in your area, we will:

  • Email all customers in your area
  • Upload a post on our Facebook page
  • Update the “Outages” page of our website

If you do not receive our emails already, be sure to call us at 800-892-0163 to update the email on your account. We appreciate your patience as we upgrade our network in your area. We are very excited to offer faster speeds in the upcoming months, resulting in a better customer experience. If you have any questions about the upgrade, please give us a call at 800-892-0163.
