Paper Bag Jellyfish
Supplies Needed:
- Brown paper bags
- Googly eyes
- Glue
- Paint
- Paint brushes
- Glitter glue
- Scissors
- Paper plate
Directions:
- Squirt paint on the paper plate.
- Begin painting one side of the paper bag.
- Use the glitter glue and make the jellyfish sparkly.
- Let dry.
- Cut the open end of the bag in small sections almost to the creased part of the bag.
- Adhere the googly eyes on the top of the creased bag with glue.
- Let dry.
- Name your jellyfish!
Paper Plate Seashell
Supplies Needed:
- Paper plate
- Scissors
- Crayons
- Water colors
Directions:
- Cut the paper plate to look like a seashell.
- Draw straight lines going up and down on the seashell with crayons.
- Water color over the entire paper plate.
- Let dry.
- Hang proudly on the fridge!
Tide Pool Sensory Bin
Supplies Needed:
- Throw away aluminum foil dish pan or plastic bin
- Sand
- Rocks in stones in various colors and sizes
- Mini toy sea creatures
- Water
Directions:
- Fill bottom of pan with thin layer of sand.
- Arrange rocks in varying levels in pan.
- Place mini animals in various spots in tide pool.
- Add water.
- Play in the tide pool!
Ocean In A Bottle
Supplies Needed:
- Empty clear plastic bottle
- Clear oil (vegetable oil, baby oil, etc)
- Water
- Funnel
- Blue food coloring
- Small sea creatures
- Glitter
- Glue
- Hot glue (optional)
Directions:
- Fill water bottle halfway up with water.
- Add a few drops of blue food coloring and swirl.
- Sprinkle in some glitter.
- Add sea creatures.
- Using the funnel, fill remainder of bottle with oil.
- Dry the seal and cap of water bottle.
- Adhere cap to bottle with glue.
- For adding protection, put a layer of hot glue on the edge of the cap.
- Create waves with your ocean!
