Rainbow Communications was awarded Atchison Business of the Year at the 2022 Annual Chamber Dinner and Business Recognition on June 18, 2022.

In response to receiving the award, Jason Smith, General Manager/CEO of Rainbow Communications said, “At Rainbow Communications, our brand promise is to value our place in the communities we serve, and our team has put forth great effort in the city of Atchison. We are honored to be recognized and appreciated by the community.”

In addition to being selected as Business of the Year, Rainbow Communications was also recognized for being in business for more than 65 years in Northeast Kansas.

Lastly, Rainbow Communications was awarded the 2021 To the Stars: Celebrating Kansas Businesses Award of Merit for the Northeast Kansas Region. The city of Atchison nominated Rainbow Communications to the State of Kansas Department of Commerce for Rainbow’s outstanding contributions to the community, the state’s economy, and the people of Kansas.

In the award letter, Governor Laura Kelly said, “You have been nominated for this recognition because of the opportunities you continue to create, keep our state and local economies strong, and improve the quality of life in our communities.”
